Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients


1/2 cup chocolate syrup

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 quart cookies and cream ice cream, softened

Instructions


  • Remove and set aside 1 quart of cookies and cream ice cream from freezer.

  • Coat bottom and sides of an 8 inch pie plate lightly with butter

  • Combine chocolate syrup and chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH until hot. stir until smooth. Set aside 1/4 of mixture for later use.

  • Combine remaining chocolate mixture and cereal in a medium bowl and mix together. Be sure that all the cereal is coated with chocolate.

  • Press mixture against bottom and sides of the 8 inch pie plate forming the pie crust and freeze until firm, approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Next combine the previously set aside chocolate mixture with sour cream in a small bowl and mix well.

  • fill the pie plate with half of the ice cream and drizzle it with the sour cream mixture, then add the rest of the ice cream and drizzle the remaining sour cream mixture on top.

  • Cover and freeze 1 hour or until firm.
