Stuffed Cube Steaks

Ingredients

6- 6 ounce beef cube steaks

1/2 cup French salad dressing

Salt & Pepper

1 cup shredded carrots

3/4 cup finely chopped onions

3/4 cup finely chopped celery

3/4 cup finely chopped green pepper

1/2 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 teaspoons cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet Browning and Seasoning Sauce

Instructions


Pound steaks to 1/4 inch thickness.

Place steaks in a shallow baking dish

Generously sprinkle with salt and pepper

Brush salad dressing over steaks

Let marinate 30 - 60 minutes


In a sauce pan combine carrots, onions, green peppers and celery with 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Cover and let simmer 7 - 8 minutes or till vegetables are crisp and tender remove from heat and drain.


Evenly distribute vegetable mixture on top of each steak. Roll up and secure with toothpicks.

Pre heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a 10 inch skillet and brown the steak rolls evenly on all sides. Add beef broth, cover and simmer for 35 - 40 minutes. remove steaks from pan and set aside, keep warm.


Remove dripping and broth mixture from skillet leaving 3/4 cup in skillet. stir in corn starch and 2 tablespoons of cold water. continue cooking and stiring continuously until mixture is thick and bubbly, stir in kitchen bouquet.


Pour over Steaks and serve.
